Are you passionate about helping people? Do you enjoy working with technology and supporting lifelong learning? We’re looking for a proactive, enthusiastic individual to join the Darebin libraries team as a Customer Service Support Officer. This role helps bring people, information, and technology together in a connected community space.
About the role:
This role suits a proactive and enthusiastic person who enjoys helping others face to face. You will respond to enquiries, issue and return library items, and assist with technology questions. An interest in lifelong learning and digital literacy is highly valued.
You will:
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, creating positive experiences through every interaction.
- Provide information to customers about library products, services and programs.
- Engage community members in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
About you:
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- A friendly, interactive and enthusiastic style with customers
- Proficiency at using and helping others to use digital devices.
- The ability to deal with and resolve conflict and negotiate acceptable outcomes within the scope of policy and procedures
- Experience in customer service, primarily in the library, retail or hospitality sectors an advantage.
- A current employee Working with Children Card.
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence is desirable (public transport available).
