About the role
Hemingway Support is seeking experienced Complex Needs Home Support Workers to join our team across multiple new SIL homes in north, east and south of Perth.
This is a life changing role with a family run Perth provider which gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients with complex needs.
What you'll be doing
- Providing personalised in-home support and positive behaviour support to clients with complex needs
- Helping clients with daily living activities such as medication management, personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping
- Facilitating social and recreational activities to enhance the wellbeing and independence of clients
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, holistic care
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Maintaining accurate client records and documentation
What we're looking for
- Significant experience in providing complex needs home support services and positive behaviour support
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in complex needs home support services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Demonstrated understanding of the disability support sector
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- A compassionate and patient approach to care
- Current First Aid certification and a valid driver's license
