NW Mining & Civil are seeking highly motivated, passionate and capable people to join our team in the Mining and Construction industry in North West Queensland.
These roles will be offered on a full-time permanent basis working day Monday to Friday and shift 6.00am to 6pm
Salary range - $94,000 - $120,000
Blaster/Spray Painter
Responsibilities:
· Clean and prepare surface for painting using air-powered equipment
· Complete pre-start checks as per SOP
· Prepare spray booth and blasted trailers for painting
· Carry out masking procedures
· Use pressure-fed Spray Guns
· Apply paint touch up techniques
· Some heavy lifting involved
· Planning, organising and prioritising your daily tasks.
· Abide to occupational haxards and application of appropriate control measures Always comply with work health and safety requirements
· Able to undertake a pre-employment Medical
· Report to the workshop Supervisor or Manager
Skills and Experience required:
· Relevant Trade Certificate
· Minimum of 3 years of trade experience.
· Experience in blasting equipment & safety
· Ability to prime and paint to industry standards.
· Must be familiar with and use the correct PPE for each stage of operation.
· Be familiar and comfortable with the use of various painting equipment.
Attributes and qualities needed:
· Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
· Ensure that the finished product is of a high standard and meets the client’s approval.
· Reliable with good work ethics
Successful candidates will be required to undergo reference checks, police clearance, pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
