An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join the Dialysis Unit at Daylesford Hospital as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM).
This leadership role is ideal for a passionate renal nurse who is committed to delivering high quality patient-centred care while supporting a positive team culture and excellence in clinical practice. As ANUM, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe, effective and efficient delivery of haemodialysis services to our community.
About the Role
Daylesford Dialysis unit is a 3 chair satellite service that operates 6 days per week and works closely with major and tertiary renal services to allow residents of the Hepburn Shire to receive treatment closer to home. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational management of the Dialysis Unit, providing clinical leadership, coordinating patient care, and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical leadership and support
- Coordinating and overseeing the delivery of safe, evidence-based dialysis care.
- Assisting with workforce planning, rostering and resource management.
- Supporting quality improvement, accreditation and risk management activities.
- Promoting a culture of collaboration, professionalism and patient-centred care.
- Supporting staff development through mentoring, education and performance management.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in haemodialysis nursing.
- Sound clinical knowledge and skills in renal nursing practice.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to support and develop staff.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to quality improvement and best practice care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification in Renal Nursing or a related specialty.
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role.
- Understanding of rural health service delivery.
Details of Appointment:
- Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (16 hours per fortnight)
- Classification: Associate Nurse Unit Manager, (as per applicable Enterprise Agreement)
