We are seeking an authentic and inspiring Maintenance Superintendent to lead the Yarrabee Mine Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Maintenance & CHPP Manager, you will lead the maintenance function across both mobile, field and ancillary assets, ensuring safe, reliable and cost effective maintenance outcomes that support the Yarrabee’s business objectives.
Leading a team of approximately 90 personnel, including 10 direct reports, you will have significant influence over the performance, culture and future direction of the maintenance department. This role requires a leader who can build trust, develop people, challenge traditional ways of working and create an environment where safety, reliability and continuous improvement are genuinely embedded into everyday behaviours.
What You'll Be Accountable For
Safety & Leadership
- Lead by example to create a culture where safety is owned by everyone and demonstrated through behaviours, not just compliance.
- Drive meaningful risk reduction initiatives that improve field safety outcomes and eliminate exposure to critical risks.
- Ensure compliance with Queensland Coal Mining legislation and the site's Safety and Health Management System.
- Lead incident investigations with a focus on learning, accountability and sustainable improvement.

Operational Excellence & Reliability
- Deliver efficient maintenance performance through a relentless focus on equipment reliability, availability and maintenance efficiency.
