We’re looking for a Lease Contract Specialist
An opportunity to join Stockland’s Investment Management business – Lease Management team, supporting the leasing function across our national Town Centres property portfolio.
Based at our Sydney Head Office with flexible working arrangements, this role is suited to a senior retail lease administrator or paralegal who enjoys high‑volume landlord‑side leasing documentation, strong stakeholder engagement and balancing legal integrity with commercial outcomes.
What You’ll Do
You’ll play a critical role in enabling leasing outcomes by managing end‑to‑end lease documentation and supporting the business to deliver timely, compliant and commercially sound transactions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing leasing documentation across the Town Centres portfolio, including drafting, negotiating and finalising leases, licences and related documents.
- Providing expert advice on documentation requirements, risks and obligations, supporting informed commercial decisions.
- Partnering closely with Leasing, Asset Management, Group Legal and other stakeholders to progress transactions efficiently.
- Liaising with external legal advisers, monitoring service levels and supporting quality and turnaround expectations.
- Ensuring documentation complies with relevant legislation and Stockland’s risk and governance frameworks.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, precedents, systems and ways of working across the leasing lifecycle.
- Building strong internal and external relationships to support a coordinated, end‑to‑end leasing model.

Experience & Skills That Count
- Proven experience in commercial or retail leasing, either in‑house (landlord side) or within a legal practice.
- Track record managing high‑volume leasing documentation across complex property portfolios.
- Strong understanding of leases and contracts, ideally within the property industry.
- Working knowledge of Australian retail leasing legislation.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight timeframes.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Interest in process improvement, systems and smarter ways of working.
