The Role
Safety Bay PS is seeking a friendly, organised and enthusiastic School Officer to join our hardworking and supportive Administration Team.
This is a varied and rewarding role that includes:
- Financial administration, including receipting and processing payments
- Supporting student enrolments and maintaining accurate records
- Front counter and reception duties, providing a welcoming first point of contact
- Supporting staff, students and families within our school community
We are ideally looking for someone who:
- Displays good communication and interpersonal skills
- Enjoys working in a busy and dynamic school environment
- Can work both collaboratively and with a level of independence
- Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Is flexible, reliable and maintains a positive attitude
- Has experience in administration and/or finance (school experience desirable but not essential)
- Is confident using computerised systems and learning new processes (experience using Compass desirable)

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

- Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and /or preparing financial returns.
- Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
