Turquoise Hillarys is looking for an experienced, hands-on Duty Manager to join our leadership team.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, remains calm under pressure, and enjoys leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. From busy breakfast and lunch services to high teas and bottomless brunches, no two days are the same.

About the Role
As Duty Manager you will be responsible for leading each shift, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting the team, and delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating the front-of-house team throughout service.
- Managing busy cafe shifts and maintaining high service standards.
- Supporting and supervising staff on the floor, including junior members of staff.
- Assisting with coffee preparation when required.
- Resolving customer concerns professionally and confidently.
- Ensuring the venue is presented to the highest standard.
- Working closely with the management team to achieve operational goals.
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader in a busy cafe or restaurant.
- Experience working in a fast-paced cafe environment.
- Strong barista skills, including the ability to make consistently high-quality coffee during busy service.
- Proven experience managing shifts, particularly during high-volume trading periods.
- A confident and positive leadership style.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example.
- A current RSA (or willingness to obtain one if required).
- Full availability, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
