As a Domestic Assistant, you will provide proactive, person-centred domestic services and support to assist clients to remain living independently in their own homes.
Beyond standard household tasks, you will play a vital role in building meaningful relationships with our clients - helping to understand their individual needs, goals, and aspirations while promoting our healthy and active ageing approach.
Key Responsibilities include:
Dusting and polishing furniture.
Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming floors, and removing rubbish.
Thoroughly cleaning bathrooms and toilets.
Managing laundry services, including distributing clean laundry and personal attire.
Bed making.

We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients. To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience: Previous experience in a domestic assistant role with the confidence to work independently without direct supervision.
Certifications: Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011).
- Transport: A current, unrestricted Australian driver’s licence (C class) and your own registered, fully insured vehicle (essential).

Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload and complete tasks on time.
A basic knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards as they apply to this role.
- Specialist Knowledge: A basic understanding of how to support clients living with dementia, including managing challenging behaviours.

Communication: A good level of English literacy, including the ability to read written instructions and communicate clearly and respectfully with older individuals.
