About the Role
This is a brand-new second location! Our original Ferntree Gully Village store remains open and unchanged – we are simply growing our local presence, so we can help rescue and care for more animals!
The Op Shop Store Manager is responsible for leading a team of volunteers and overseeing the daily operation of the store to ensure its profitability, sustainability and positive presence within the local community.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage, lead and develop a team of volunteers to the highest levels of performance and engagement.

Provide leadership and support in the management of the Op Shop’s operations including overseeing pricing, maximising profitability and achieving sales targets.

Provide a high level of service to customers to resolve customer queries and complaints

Positively represent RSPCA Victoria in the local community.

Lead effective and efficient stock management, visual merchandising and high-level retail operations

Provide support to the Op Shop Network Coordinator in the improvement of internal processes and procedures

Manage the recruitment and induction of volunteers to ensure that the store has the appropriate resources in place to achieve their goals.

Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.

Assist with ensuring a safe working environment whereby volunteers perform their duties safely and adhere to all WH&S policies and procedures.
What we are looking for from you
-
Ability to work 5 days per week across a 7 day roster, with the availability to work Saturdays or Sundays.

Previous experience in retail management and leadership, ideally within an op-shop environment

Previous experience working with and managing volunteers.

Previous experience in a similar role that requires strong administration, customer service and organisational skills

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment

Ability to work as part of collaborative team

High level literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills
Recruitment Requirements
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check

Valid driver’s license.
