About the Role
Friends Motors is seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our growing team in Melbourne. We are looking for a motivated professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing, maintenance and inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Repair and replace faulty engine, transmission, suspension, steering and braking system components.
- Perform engine tuning and preventative maintenance.
- Conduct road tests to identify and verify vehicle performance issues.
- Inspect vehicles and ensure repairs comply with Australian safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete repair documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently while following workplace health and safety procedures.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised and maintain tools and equipment.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualification as a Motor Mechanic (Certificate III or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Current Australian driver's licence (preferred).
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
