Haus Residential is an established joinery company based in Dandenong South, specialising in high-quality residential and commercial joinery. We design, manufacture and install kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, laundries and custom joinery solutions.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Draftsperson / Estimator to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This position is available for an immediate start.
This is a diverse role that combines drafting, estimating and project preparation responsibilities. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting architectural plans, drawings and specifications
- inspecting work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards
- calculating costs, preparing estimates and quotations for tenders and live projects
- Reviewing and processing quotations
- collecting data using surveying instruments and photogrammetric equipment
- Completing take-offs and material quantification from architectural drawings
- Preparing preliminary sketches, working drawings and specifications
- Creating and publishing shop drawings
- Preparing sample submissions for approval
- Setting up project files for production and CNC cutting
- Nesting and production preparation
- Production scheduling and coordination of work programs
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and internal departments
- General administration, correspondence and responding to calls and emails
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations and project requirements
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in drafting, estimating, joinery or a similar industry
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and drawings
- Experience measuring from plans and completing take-offs
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Microvellum and/or Cabinet Vision
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in English.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and professional with a strong work ethic
Candidates with demonstrated joinery experience will be strongly preferred. Experience in cabinet making or the construction industry is also desirable.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
