Key Responsibilities
As Front Office Supervisor, you'll work under the Front Office Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of the front office operation - including guest registration, concierge services, telephone services and reservations - while delivering a unique and personalised guest experience. At LyLo, no two days look the same, and this role goes beyond the front desk. Day to day, you'll:
- Drive upselling opportunities and build strong product knowledge to maximise revenue and enhance the guest experience.
- Supervise and support front office colleagues, ensuring high standards of conduct, presentation and service at all times.
- Respond swiftly to guest needs, resolve issues and ensure VIP and priority guests receive special attention.
- Monitor room availability, rates and accuracy of room counts to maximise occupancy and revenue.
- Liaise with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure seamless room readiness and fulfilment of special guest requests.
- Pitch in across our F&B spaces when needed - LyLo is a social place and we're all in it together.
- Help plan and run social events for guests - from casual get-togethers to memorable experiences that bring the LyLo community to life.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, credit procedures and emergency protocols.
- Compile front office reports and interpret data to support operational decision-making.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training and performance development of team members.
What You'll Bring
- At least 2 years' experience in a Front Office or Guest Services role, with some supervisory or leadership experience, ideally in a hotel environment.
- A strong working knowledge of a Property Management System, preferably Opera.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Superior decision-making ability and a sharp eye for detail.
- The ability to juggle multiple tasks, competing deadlines and varying guest situations with ease.
- A natural flair for connecting with people and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere — handy when you're running social events or jumping behind the bar.
- A current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification and a full Australian Driver's Licence.
