Chemtrans is a division of K&S Freighters and is a well-respected industry leader in the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of Dangerous and Hazardous Goods and chemicals throughout Australia.
The Opportunity:
Join a specialised dangerous goods operation transporting critical chemical products across the Northern Territory.
This is a long-term opportunity to work alongside an experienced Branch Manager with over 20 years in the dangerous goods industry and 16 years with Chemtrans. Having progressed from driver to Branch Manager, he understands the role and is committed to mentoring and supporting his team.
About the Role:
This role involves the safe transportation of bulk chemical liquids from the Vopak Terminal in Darwin to the McArthur River Mine.
Transport bulk chemical liquids between Darwin and McArthur River Mine
Commence work at approximately 6:00am and finish around 9:00pm
Complete loading and unloading activities safely and efficiently
Work within strict dangerous goods, safety, and compliance requirements
What you’ll bring:
Current MC Licence
Previous bulk tanker experience with minimum two years’ MC driving experience
Current Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence
Forklift Licence - beneficial
A strong commitment to safety and compliance
The ability to complete and maintain site inductions for McArthur River
The ability to work independently and manage overnight trips away from home
Good communication and time management skills
