WELDWORKS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our construction team, working across residential homes, commercial buildings, and public spaces throughout NSW and WA.
This is a full-time position, where you will work as part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team.
Position: Carpenter – Full-Time
Salary: A$90,000 – A$98,000 per annum plus superannuation
Work Location: In person
What We Are Looking For
Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant carpentry experience
- Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans
- Good physical fitness, stamina, and strength
- High level of accuracy and precision
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering plans to accurately measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials.
- Build, install, maintain, and repair structures including walls, floors, ceilings, stairs, door frames, windows, cabinets, and other timber fixtures.
- Ensure all carpentry work meets relevant building codes, workplace safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and relevant machinery safely and efficiently when completing carpentry work.
- Calculate required materials, labour, and project costs and assist with preparing detailed work plans.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, clients, and other trades to ensure project requirements and specifications are achieved.
- Assist with supervising and coordinating junior carpenters and other site workers where required.
- Inspect completed carpentry work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance before final installation or project handover.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment throughout and following completion of each project.
- Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently to help keep construction projects on schedule.
