About the Role
The Community Engagement Officer will represent the organisation to various communities as needed to further increase awareness of gambling harm
In this role, you will be responsible for the establishment of lasting connections to local communities and developing presentations targeted to a range of stakeholders.
The aim is to increase awareness of issues relating to gambling harm, and to develop referral pathways acro i community services, healthcare, and education, to support individuals who have been adversely affected by gambling.
About You
To be a successful candidate you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or commensurate experience including social work, psychology, counselling, or relevant community services discipline
- Demonstrated understanding of the community service sector and an interest in working in the area of gambling harm
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder relations and build collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships across a range of stakeholders
- Excellent networking, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) as well as demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Current and valid Driver’s Licence with the willingness to travel, as required
