We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lodge Host at the Red Feather Inn, helping us deliver the exceptional food, hospitality and guest experience that sits at the heart of our walks.
As a Lodge Host, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for our guests. From preparing delicious meals and providing warm, genuine hospitality, through to provisioning, maintaining our kitchen and dining spaces, and supporting the wider lodge team, no two days will be quite the same.
You’ll work closely with our Team Leaders, Guides and other team members to ensure our guests are well looked after as they prepare to depart for and return from Bay of Fires and Cradle Mountain. You play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly, while maintaining the high standards of service, sustainability and environmental care that define the Tasmanian Walking Company experience.
About You
We are looking for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating memorable experiences.
You will bring:

2+ years’ experience working in hospitality
- A passion for preparing and cooking delicious food
- A genuine commitment to providing excellent guest service
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
What You’ll Be Doing
Your days may include:
-
Preparing meals and supporting other team members with meal preparation
- Providing warm, attentive and professional service to our guests
- Maintaining high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, hygiene and safety
- Assisting with provisioning and lodge operations
- Maintaining kitchen and dining areas
- Pitching in with other lodge-based duties as required
Required Certifications
You will be required to hold, or be willing to obtain:

Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB021)
- Use hygienic practices for food safety (SITXFSA005)
- Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices (SITXFSA006)
The following qualifications are also desirable:

Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)
- Provide CPR (HLTAID009)
