If you’re community minded, safety conscious, and like to maintain efficiency, functionality and accountability, then come help lead and support multiple operational regulatory compliance teams that are focussed on keeping Canberra a Safe and Liveable City.
The team provides parking education and enforcement patrols throughout the ACT, monitors the repair and servicing of all government pay parking machines and is responsible for the mobile and fixed speed camera enforcement as part of the ACT’s Road Safety program.
As the Assistant Director, Operations, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the Parking Operations and Traffic Camera Compliance teams, working in close partnership with the wider leadership team. You will monitor and maintain business unit compliance with WH&S and road transport regulatory requirements, and contribute to a positive and innovative organisational culture, including working as part of the wider leadership team to support operational outcomes. Your knowledge of regulatory and government functions and processes will benefit sound judgement in the delivery of operational matters and guide the delivery of astute advice to internal and external stakeholders.

To be appointed as an Authorised Person under the Road Transport (General) Act 1999 successful applicants:
- must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident of Australia

must successfully complete all pre-employment checks including police check

This position requires a current full “C” class driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
Highly Desirable:

Thorough understanding of the Road Transport Laws is desirable

Certificate IV in Investigations would be highly desirable.
