Step Up Therapies is looking for Occupational Therapists!
This role is a subcontractor position and will involve supporting adult NDIS participants in Northern NSW and southern Gold Coast regions.
About the team
The Step Up team currently consists of Bonnie (OT) and Eliza (Admin) who are seeking like-minded, dedicated OT's to join the team.
Bonnie has been an OT for over 12 years and has diverse OT experience across varying caseloads, and in urban, rural and remote communities. Eliza has worked in the aged care sector for over 10 years, including community care work and case management roles.
About the role
Ideal applicants will be kind, hard-working and organised.
The role will involve clinical assessment and intervention for people living with disabilities, including:
- Conducting comprehensive functional assessments to identify participant needs
- Developing recommendations tailored to the functional and holistic needs of participants and their support networks
- Delivering face to face and remote occupational therapy support, including Capacity Building therapy, Assistive Technology and Home Modification prescription
- Collaborating with participants, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and cohesive approach to care
- Completing Functional Capacity, Supported Independent Living, Specialist Disability Accommodation and Plan Review reports
- Maintaining professional and timely documentation including progress notes and client files
As a subcontractor you will have flexibility in the management of your caseload, with availability for at least 2 business days preferred.
Step Up Therapies is a mobile and community-based service. The role involves working from home, alongside face to face support provided in participants' homes and community environments.
What you'll need
- A positive and person-centred approach
- Occupational Therapy accreditation with AHPRA
- Driver's license
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of occupational therapy services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with participants and their support networks
- Effective problem-solving and clinical reasoning skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care and a passion for supporting participants to live lives that are meaningful and enjoyable
What we offer
Pay rate of 47% of billable work completed + 12% super
* Pay increase negotiable based on experience and competencies.
All kilometres/non-labour travel costs reimbursed
Negotiable remuneration for certain non-billable time
Openness to hiring new graduate or early-practicing OT's. The role will require a certain level of autonomy and experience is preferred, particularly within the NDIS space.
Clinical supervision and support provided based on your needs and skill level.
