The Evidence-Based Programs team focuses on the delivery of evidence-based programs for children and young people, parents, caregivers and/or professionals across the Southeastern Victorian area.

The Opportunity
Berry Street's Northern Family Services program provides a case management and support service to vulnerable children and families predominantly in the municipalities of Banyule, Nillumbik, Yarra, Darebin and Whittlesea. Family Services works within a partnership with the North East Metropolitan Area (NEMA) Child & Family Service Alliance. The NEMA Alliance supports the partnership of the nine partner agencies who provide Integrated Families services.
This Evidenced Based Program Facilitator position will plan, implement and evaluate evidenced based programs to meet the needs of highly vulnerable families and children across NEMA with a focus on families being referred from the Orange Door.
About You
You will hold a tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor level) in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare or related discipline and have an understanding of the gendered nature of family violence and its impact on women and their children.
You have the ability to actively engage and connect with families and children, and have a good understanding of child development, factors that might impact a child’s development and indicators of child abuse and neglect.
