The Team & Role
The Data Analyst is responsible for generating descriptive, diagnostic and predictive reports and insights that is crucial for driving the operational aspects of the hospital. These insights and reports generated are critical for making PH an insight driven organisation that makes decisions based on facts both proactive and reactive.The Data Analyst, plays a key role in the Data Science and Engineering team and is responsible for ensuring information, reports and insights are delivered in the most effective manner by adhering to the Peninsula Health Data Governance framework.
This position works closely with clinicians, senior stakeholders and other digital informatics teams such as IT operations, PMO and Digital Applications

Skills & Experience Required
A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. IT/Computer Science/Data Science) with substantial experience or an equivalent combination of substantial relevant industry experience, education and training.
Practitioner level experience in business requirement analysis, data sourcing and manipulation.
Practitioner level experience in data querying and manipulation using languages such as SQL and Python
Professional working knowledge in Business Intelligence reporting and data visualisations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau and MS Reporting Services.
Understanding of data governance, policies and principles and able to successfully work within those define constraints yet deliver outcomes.
