Vac Truck Operator / Grease Trap Technician
Grandpooba Waste Removal is looking for a reliable Vac Truck Operator to join our team in Hobart and surrounding areas.
This role will mainly involve grease trap pumping and liquid waste servicing, so we’re looking for someone who is hardworking, practical, and confident working independently.
About the role
- Operating vac trucks for grease trap pumping and liquid waste removal
- Servicing commercial sites and customers across Hobart and surrounds
- Completing daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance
- Using hoses, pumps and vac equipment safely and efficiently
- Keeping paperwork/job records up to date
- Providing good customer service on site
What we’re looking for
- Experience driving Medium Rigid (MR) or Heavy Rigid (HR) trucks
- Good mechanical understanding and ability to troubleshoot basic issues
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Good communication and a professional attitude with customers
- Experience in liquid waste, septic, grease trap or vacuum truck work is highly regarded
Requirements
- Current MR or HR truck licence
- White Card preferred but not essential
- Ability to work safely and follow procedures
- Forklift, confined space, or waste industry experience would be an advantage
