About NGIS
NGIS is a global geospatial consulting company that helps complex organisations across all sectors unlock the value of location. We deliver enterprise-grade GIS solutions to some of the world’s largest brands — architecting, deploying and supporting the geospatial platforms that sit at the heart of their operations.
Our approach is built on our people, partners and technology. Our team of GIS professionals, solution architects and software engineers live and breathe geospatial, working alongside our clients to understand their unique needs and deliver solutions that last. We partner with the world’s leading geospatial technologies – including Esri, Google, Safe Software (FME) and VertiGIS – giving our clients access to best-of-breed platforms backed by deep implementation expertise.
We’re growing, and we offer our people the chance to work on projects that shape how major organisations use location – with the technologies, training and career pathways to match.
The role:
The NGIS East Coast team is looking for a Geospatial Consultant to independently deliver geospatial services across multiple major projects. Working as part of a collaborative consulting team, you’ll apply your expertise in ArcGIS and FME to solve complex spatial problems while building trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
NGIS offers flexible working hours and hybrid remote/office work arrangements, with this role requiring a minimum of 3 days in office (may be a combination of NGIS and client offices).
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering advanced geospatial analysis, cartography, automation and data management solutions using ArcGIS Enterprise, Pro and FME.
- Owning the end-to-end delivery of geospatial services for your assigned major infrastructure projects, ensuring high-quality technical outcomes and effective management of day-to-day priorities.
- Acting as the primary day-to-day contact for project stakeholders, translating business needs into practical spatial solutions and building trusted relationships.
- Independently troubleshooting spatial data, systems and workflow issues, identifying practical solutions and driving continuous improvement.
- Proactively managing technical issues and competing priorities to ensure successful outcomes, escalating risks where additional support is required.
To be successful, you will need:
- 4+ years’ experience delivering geospatial solutions within consulting, infrastructure, utilities, oil & gas, government or other asset-intensive industries.
- Advanced expertise in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise/Online and FME, including spatial analysis, cartography, automation and data integration.
- Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, with experience building trusted client relationships and confidently communicating with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience delivering multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities, schedules and technical outcomes while working independently.
- Proven ability to take ownership of technical delivery, producing high-quality spatial outputs and contributing effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Highly desirable skills:
- Experience supporting major infrastructure, utilities, O&G or linear asset programs.
- Experience with land, environmental, easement, construction or asset spatial datasets.
- Knowledge of spatial data governance.
- Experience integrating spatial data from multiple sources, including enterprise systems, databases and field data collection platforms.
- Experience with SharePoint, ServiceNow or similar collaboration and issue management platforms.
Benefits that you’ll enjoy:
- Meaningful and challenging work with an opportunity to grow and develop your professional profile.
- An awesome work-life balance with a supportive, friendly and family-first philosophy.
- Flexible working hours and hybrid remote/office work arrangements.
- EAP membership, annual health and wellbeing fund, professional membership support, and support for community volunteering.
- Social events and an energetic environment.
