If you are a network and voice professional looking for a role where your technical work directly supports thousands of people across one of Australia's largest automotive groups, this opportunity at Peter Warren Automotive is worth your full attention.
About the role:
Based at Warwick Farm and working as part of our Infrastructure team, you will help keep the network and communications infrastructure running reliably for over 2300 employees across New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria. You will work alongside another Network & Voice Specialist and a wider team, sharing knowledge and supporting each other across a broad multi-site environment.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing and maintaining LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure across multiple dealership locations, giving you genuine breadth of exposure rarely found in a single-site role
- Supporting and administering voice and unified communications systems, including Microsoft Teams Calling, VoIP platforms, and video conferencing solutions, so that every site can serve customers without interruption
- Supporting the Genesys Cloud Contact Centre platform, ensuring our customer-facing teams have a reliable and well-tuned environment to work in
- Administering and supporting site technology services including CCTV, building access control, and alarm systems across our dealership network
- Troubleshooting complex network and communications incidents and seeing them through to resolution, building your diagnostic skills on real enterprise-scale problems
- Partnering with fellow Infrastructure team members on projects spanning networking, voice, server, and cloud, from upgrades to new site deployments
- Documenting configurations, processes, and network diagrams to a high standard, leaving a legacy of clarity for the team around you
- Monitoring network performance and proactively identifying improvements before issues affect the business
About You:
You bring solid hands-on experience in networking, voice, and site technology, and you take genuine pride in infrastructure that simply works. You enjoy working as part of a close-knit technical team where ideas, troubleshooting, and project work are shared.
More about you:
- Proven experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise network environments, including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate, SD-WAN) is highly regarded
- Experience with Meraki and/or HP Aruba wired and wireless platforms
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Teams Phone / Teams Voice and Video, including configuration, call routing, and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of VoIP and unified communications platforms in a multi-site setting
- Exposure to Genesys Cloud Contact Centre or similar cloud-based contact centre platforms is well regarded
- Experience supporting video conferencing solutions in meeting room and boardroom environments
- Familiarity with CCTV, building access control, and alarm systems, or a willingness to develop skills in this space
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and a methodical approach to fault resolution
- Strong communication skills, because explaining technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues is a regular part of the role
- Relevant industry certifications such as Fortinet NSE, Microsoft MS-721 (Teams Voice), Meraki CMNA, Aruba ACA/ACP, or Cisco CCNA are well regarded
- Comfortable working autonomously while also contributing to a collaborative team, managing competing priorities without losing attention to detail
The benefits:
Peter Warren Automotive offers a stable, supportive environment where IT professionals are recognised as central to the business, not a back-office function.
Benefits include:
- A permanent full-time role with long-term career development in a growing national organisation
- A seat in a broader Infrastructure team, giving you exposure to networking, voice, server, and cloud disciplines beyond your core specialty
- Exposure to a large, complex multi-site infrastructure that will stretch and sharpen your skills continuously
