We are currently seeking reliable and professional Retail Security Officers to join our team in Bendigo, Victoria. This is a casual role offering approximately 15–30 hours per week, with shifts available across weekdays and weekends.
The successful applicants will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure retail environment, providing a visible security presence, assisting with loss prevention, and delivering a high level of customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and visible security presence within the retail environment
- Monitor customer activity and assist with loss prevention
- Conduct regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas as required
- Manage entry and exit points where required
- Assist with bag checks and receipt checks in accordance with client procedures
- Respond professionally to incidents, hazards, or customer-related issues
- Report any suspicious behaviour, incidents, or safety concerns
- Liaise with store management, staff, and emergency services when required
- Complete incident reports and daily shift reports as required
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times
To Be Successful, You Must Have
- A current Victorian Security Licence
- Previous retail security, loss prevention, or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required
- Full working rights in Australia
