We are seeking a talented Journalist with a flair for storytelling to join our team on a casual basis. Working remotely or from the Osborne Park office and reporting to the Manager and Editor of Custom Publishing, this casual position involves writing informative and engaging advertorial content for clients, as well as articles across a broad range of topics. This position contributes to the Advertising Department by producing print features for The West Australian, The Sunday Times, PerthNow and Regional mastheads as well as weekly products in the property space.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication and copywriting skills, highly developed organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines. The ability to take on tasks at short notice and ongoing availability is favourable.
About the role:
Writing client copy and long-form articles across a diverse range of topics and industry sectors as directed by the editor.
Liaising with advertisers to deliver positive client outcomes.
Undertaking research and interviews to produce relevant and high-quality stories that support and enhance client content in various products and features.
Developing positive relationships with key industry people and organisations.
About you:
A qualification in Journalism or Communications and copywriting experience.
Experience liaising with advertising clients.
Strong research, interviewing and writing skills.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Strong communication skills.
The ability to work under pressure and maintain high-quality work in a deadline-driven setting.
A strong work ethic.
