As a Senior Study Manager , you will play a pivotal role in shaping future mining and minerals projects by leading studies, proposals, and business opportunities. This highly visible position combines technical leadership, commercial insight, and client engagement to transform opportunities into successful projects while driving business growth and strengthening client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of safe, commercially sound, and technically robust studies, ensuring outcomes meet client objectives, schedules, and budgets.
Develop winning proposals, tenders, study reports, and business cases that maximise value, manage risk, and support project success.
Provide strategic technical and commercial leadership, identifying innovative solutions and supporting opportunity development and conversion.
Manage study execution, including planning, resources, budgets, schedules, risk, and multidisciplinary teams.
Oversee cost estimates, execution strategies, and contracting approaches to align with project and commercial objectives.
Build trusted client relationships, acting as a strategic advisor throughout the project development lifecycle.
Support the seamless transition of projects from study phases into engineering and execution.
Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding client networks, and maintaining accurate market and opportunity intelligence within Salesforce.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Process, Chemical, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical)
- 12+ years in mineral processing, project development, or project delivery.
- Proven experience leading studies from scoping through feasibility.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
- The ability to balance technical rigour with commercial thinking.
Strong communication skills, clear, persuasive, and confident.
