Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.

About the Role
We are looking for energetic, friendly and experienced people to become Senior Hosts at Powerhouse Parramatta.
As a Senior Host, you will help lead front-of-house operations and bring a warm and welcoming experience to life for every visitor, supporting Hosts engage with guests in a warm and attentive way. You will assist with shift coordination, act as a first point of contact for guest and operational matters, help coordinate guest flow during exhibitions and events, and support the coaching and onboarding of Hosts to keep service standards consistent across the site. This is a fast-paced, social and hands-on role where every day is different, and where your experience will help shape the visitor experience for the whole team.
About You
You are someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, building positive relationships, and bringing out the best in others. You are confident stepping into a support and coordination role, guiding Hosts, helping resolve guest issues, and knowing when to bring in extra support. You thrive in busy, public environments, adapting easily to changing situations while remaining calm and reliable under pressure. Passionate about inclusion and accessibility, you believe everyone should feel welcome, valued, and able to participate fully. Experience leading or coordinating a team in a hospitality, retail, or events environment is helpful , but what matters most is your warmth, reliability, and genuine interest in helping others.
