Casual Vacation Care Educator – Creative Workshop Lead
Lighthouse Education is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Casual Vacation Care Educator to lead our Mini World Makers workshop for children aged 5–12 years.
Mini World Makers is a hands-on creative activity where children use landscape stickers, character stickers and craft tools to design their own miniature scenes and stories.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the workshop and guide children through the activity
- Brief and coordinate two supporting facilitators
- Manage activity timing, group transitions and materials
- Keep children engaged across different age groups
- Work closely with vacation care staff to maintain a safe and positive environment
- Support workshop setup and pack-down
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children aged 5–12
- Is confident leading both children and other facilitators
- Has strong communication and classroom management skills
- Is energetic, reliable, organised and approachable
- Can adapt instructions for younger and older children
- Holds a valid NSW Working With Children Check
- Has vacation care, teaching, childcare, youth work or workshop facilitation experience
All lesson plans, activity materials and facilitator guidance will be provided.
This is a casual opportunity based at vacation care centres across Sydney, with the potential for ongoing work across Lighthouse Education’s creative, STEM and AI programs.
Pay: $60.00 – $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2.5 per week
