At Better Care Health Group, we are driven by purpose and guided by evidence. As a privately owned practice, we deeply value quality over volume. We believe in giving our therapists the time and support they need to provide thorough assessments, deliver highly effective treatments, and guide patients through genuinely meaningful rehabilitation.
We deliver mobile physiotherapy at the highest level, bringing expert care directly to patients in their homes, aged care facilities, and the community across Melbourne. If you are a physiotherapist who shares our commitment to clinical excellence and finds true meaning in improving someone’s quality of life, you will feel right at home here.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and confident Physiotherapist to join our growing team on a Part-Time or Casual basis.
In this role, you will enjoy the freedom of working autonomously in the field while being fully backed by a close-knit, highly supportive team. We will work with you to gradually build and take ownership of a diverse community caseload over your first 1–2 months, allowing you to settle in comfortably. Your caseload will be highly rewarding, ranging from older adults and NDIS participants to people recovering from surgery and those living with neurological conditions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering high-quality mobile care: Assessing and treating a diverse caseload across Melbourne, including musculoskeletal, neurological, post-surgical, and age-related presentations.
- Managing your caseload: Taking confident ownership of your patient schedule with strong clinical initiative.
- Navigating funding streams: Working seamlessly across NDIS, Medicare EPC, the new Support at Home program, and private patients.
- Ensuring clinical excellence: Writing high-standard clinical documentation, progress reports, and GP communications.
- Collaborating effectively: Working closely with the broader Better Care team, Support Coordinators, aged care staff, and other allied health professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
Who We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: Full AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist with a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
- Clinical Confidence: Strong clinical reasoning, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment skills, with the ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Community Experience: Previous experience in mobile, community, or aged care physiotherapy is highly regarded. Familiarity with NDIS, Medicare EPC, and community funding is preferred.
- Professional Mindset: Highly organized with excellent time-management skills, a growth mindset, and a dedication to lifelong learning.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Requirements: A valid Australian Driver’s Licence, a reliable vehicle, flexibility to travel across Melbourne, a current Police Check (or willingness to obtain), and an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
What We Offer You
- Work That Matters: Experience highly rewarding patient cases where you can build genuine, long-lasting relationships and see the direct impact of your care.
- True Flexibility: Work-life balance isn't just a buzzword here. We will work around your schedule, availability, and preferred hours to ensure the role fits your life.
- Ongoing Support: Enjoy a positive, purpose-driven team culture with ongoing clinical support and professional development to help you grow.
