The Co-Group are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join a small, consistent team supporting an adult male transitioning into supported accommodation following an extended hospital stay. The client is based in Arundel, 4214.
Support workers will provide high-quality, person-centred support with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, showering, grooming and dressing, bed mobility and repositioning, pressure area care, hoist transfers, wheelchair support, PEG feeding (training provided), and emotional wellbeing. You will also be responsible for following individual care plans, safe manual handling procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure the participant receives consistent, respectful and dignified care.
Support is provided 7 days a week across the following roster:
- 8:00am – 6:00pm
- 6:00pm – 10:00pm
- 10:00pm – 6:00am (Sleepover)
- 6:00am – 10:00am
Availability for overnight sleepover and weekend shifts is essential.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Access to a comprehensive insured car with 5 seats
- NDIS Module – Quality, Safety & You
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) for paid employment
- Blue Card (WWCC) for paid employment
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using approved techniques.
