Challenger Security is seeking an experienced and highly professional Control Room Operator to join our team at one of Melbourne’s most prestigious commercial sites.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in protecting a high-profile commercial precinct and ensuring the safety of its tenants, visitors and assets.
As a Control Room Operator, you will work from the site’s Security Control Room - the central point for monitoring, communication and coordination across the precinct.
You will monitor security systems, assess events in real time and coordinate appropriate responses with the wider onsite security team. Your ability to remain alert, communicate clearly and respond calmly under pressure will be essential to maintaining a safe and secure environment.
This is a full-time position working a rotating roster as part of an established security team, supported by an onsite Security Manager.
Please note: A current Victorian Private Security Licence with a Control Room Operator endorsement is essential for this position.

Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm and other electronic security systems.

Coordinate incident responses and support onsite security personnel.

Manage communications across radio, telephone and incident management systems.

Accurately document and report incidents in real time.

Assist with emergency procedures and critical incident responses.

Maintain a professional and composed approach in a premium commercial environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A current Victorian Private Security Licence with a Control Room Operator endorsement.

Previous experience working in a security control room or operations centre.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.

The ability to remain calm, focused and professional under pressure.

Intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and incident management systems.

A reliable, proactive and team-focused approach.
