NDIS Intake and Administration Officer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised, compassionate and client-focused NDIS Intake and Administration Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the intake process for new and existing NDIS participants, coordinating administrative activities, and ensuring clients receive a welcoming, professional and seamless experience from their first point of contact.
You will work closely with participants, families, support coordinators, providers and internal teams to gather information, coordinate referrals, maintain accurate records and support the efficient delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage participant enquiries, referrals and intake processes.
- Conduct initial intake and information-gathering with participants and their representatives.
- Assess and record participant needs, goals and service requirements.
- Coordinate appointments, referrals, service commencement and follow-up activities.
- Maintain accurate participant records and documentation in accordance with NDIS requirements.
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the service delivery team.
- Communicate professionally with participants, families, carers, providers and other stakeholders.
- Monitor intake and referral enquiries and ensure timely follow-up.
- Assist with service agreements, consent forms and other participant documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with organisational policies, privacy requirements and NDIS standards.
- Support general office administration and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace.
About You
The successful candidate will be an organised and approachable professional who enjoys helping people and working in a fast-paced community services environment. You will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in NDIS, disability, community services, healthcare or a similar environment.
- Experience in intake, administration, customer service or client coordination.
- A sound understanding of the NDIS and participant journey.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer and administration skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
- A professional, respectful and person-centred approach.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
