Looking for a clinic where the days fly by, the coffee is strong, the laughter is loud, and your team genuinely has your back?
Do you have ECC experience but aren't keen on nights and weekend shifts anymore?
Or are you looking to build a career in referral and specialty medicine and want to get your foot in the door at a hospital that manages far more than the average GP clinic?
Think...
-
Orthopaedic and advanced soft tissue surgery
-
Urgent Care (including snake and tick envenomation)
-
Complex medical cases (DKA management, transfusion medicine, oesophagostomy feeding)
We're looking for a skilled and confident Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse to join our busy, supportive hospital.
This is a place where the Smartflow Procedure and Medical boards fill up regularly, where no two days are the same, and where your nursing skills will be valued and utilised to their full potential.
You'll be part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together, celebrates the wins, supports each other through the busy moments, and never forgets to have a laugh along the way. If you can multitask like a pro (while still finding time for the occasional patient cuddle), we'd love to meet you.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
-
Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.
-
Has at least 12 months of post-qualification clinical experience.
-
Enjoys a varied caseload and thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment.
-
Understands that great teamwork is the secret ingredient to a smooth-running clinic (and locating the mysteriously missing clippers).
-
Is organised, proactive, and genuinely passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
What Your Days Will Look Like
With 4–5 veterinarians on the floor every day, there's always something happening.
You'll rotate through a variety of nursing roles, including:
- Surgery
- Medical & Hospital Nursing
- Nurse Consultations
- Consulting Vet Assistance
- Dental and non-sterile procedures
- Educating and supporting our wonderful clients
No two days are ever the same—and that's exactly how we like it.
We work hard, help each other without being asked, celebrate the wins (big and small), and somehow always find time for a laugh in between.
What's It Really Like Working Here?
We take our patient care seriously... ourselves? Not quite as much.
Every morning at 9:30 am, we hit pause for our 30-minute Morning Rounds. We discuss our cases, bounce ideas around, learn from each other, and then spend the last ten minutes talking about literally anything except vet work—book and movie recommendations, weekend adventures, random "Would You Rather" debates... whatever comes up.
It's one of the best parts of our day. It keeps us connected, helps us learn, and reminds us that we're humans—not just veterinary professionals fuelled by caffeine.
Outside of work, you'll often find us on the pickleball court. It's become our unofficial team sport, and everyone is welcome—whether you're a seasoned player or have absolutely no idea what you're doing (to be fair, some of us are still working it out too).
Bonus points if you've got a sneaky good backhand... but even more bonus points if you're the kind of teammate who enjoys a laugh, supports those around you, and genuinely wants to be part of a great team.
What We Offer
-
Above Award remuneration, based on your skills and experience.
-
Access to the excellent VetPartners employee benefits program, including professional development opportunities, staff discounts, wellbeing initiatives, and career progression across the VetPartners network.
-
A supportive and experienced team that values your contribution.
-
A positive workplace culture where high standards of patient care and teamwork go hand in hand.
-
Ongoing opportunities to develop your nursing skills in a modern, well-equipped hospital.
If you're an experienced veterinary nurse looking for a busy, rewarding role with a genuinely fantastic team, we'd love to hear from you.
