About the Opportunity
We are seeking an accomplished Sommelier to help shape the wine program of a landmark new restaurant at the Powerhouse Parramatta, bringing expertise, personality and a genuine sense of discovery to a confident and memorable dining experience
About the Role
You will own and curate the wine offering, educate both guests and team, and create memorable wine moments that reflect the sophistication and the energy of this iconic venue.
Key responsibilities include:
- Curating and maintaining an engaging, well balanced wine list
- Providing expert wine recommendations and service to guests
- Training the front of house team on wine knowledge and service standards
- Managing wine stock, ordering and cellar organisation
- Working closely with the kitchen and management to create food-and-wine pairings
- Representing the wine program with professionalism and passion
About You
You are an experienced Sommelier with strong product knowledge and a genuine love of sharing wine with others.
You bring:
- Previous experience as a Sommelier or in a senior wine focused role
- Excellent product knowledge and the ability to recommend and sell with confidence
- Strong communication and guest education skills
- A professional presence that enhances the dining experience
- Passion for creating memorable wine moments in a high quality restaurant setting
- Qualified WSET 3 or above
