MW Homes Pty Ltd is a well-established family-run renovation business specialising in high-quality kitchen, bathroom and laundry renovations throughout Melbourne's eastern suburbs. We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our growing team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
The successful applicant will work on a range of residential renovation projects and will be responsible for:
- Performing general domestic carpentry works.
- Constructing, modifying and installing timber frameworks, stud walls, doors and other structural components.
- Interpreting and working from plans and specifications.
- Carrying out demolition and renovation works as required.
- Installing cavity sliding doors, wall niches and other custom features.
- Re-sheeting rooms and completing finishing and fit-off carpentry works.
- Coordinating material orders and collection from suppliers.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with workplace safety requirements.
- Liaising professionally with clients, suppliers and other trades.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A relevant trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent.
- At least 2 years' experience in residential carpentry and renovation work.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Current driver's licence.
