Buon Appetit is a busy, family-owned Italian restaurant in Camden, specialising in handmade Italian food, fresh produce and high-volume service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Chef to join our larder section and grow with our kitchen team.
This role is suited to someone at the beginning of their cooking career who has a genuine love for food, fresh ingredients and quality produce. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, takes pride in their work and wants to build real skills in a busy, professional kitchen.

About the Role
You will be working in our larder section, assisting with:
- Cold prep and mise en place
- Salads, entrees and cold dishes
- Fresh produce preparation
- Portioning and organising ingredients
- Basic knife skills and prep work
- Labelling, stock rotation and FIFO
- Cleaning and maintaining your section
- Assisting chefs during busy service
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures

- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Someone who takes pride in doing things properly
- Good attitude and ability to follow direction
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Willing to work nights and weekends
- No major experience required, but kitchen experience is a bonus
- 1st, 2nd or 3rd year apprentices welcome to apply
- Must be currently undertaking, or willing to undertake, a Commercial Cookery apprenticeship

Pay: $15.00 – $21.00 per hour
