In this role, you'll:
Provide specialist security risk expertise across cloud and on premises platforms to protect Transport for NSW systems and data. Embed secure by design practices, ensures compliance with policy and regulation, and supports safe, reliable platform delivery.
Lead platform security risk assessments, designs and embeds security controls, monitors risk and control effectiveness, manages exceptions and audit activities, and supports incident preparedness and remediation in a complex, multi-vendor environment.
Strong experience in cyber and cloud security risk management, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance, supported by relevant qualifications or certifications. Success relies on high accountability, integrity, problem solving, communication, and the ability to collaborate and influence without direct authority.

About you
Operates independently to manage day‑to‑day security risk responsibilities, making decisions within agreed standards and escalating only complex or sensitive issues. Holds no direct reports or separate budget but works within established governance and financial delegations.
Applies recognised cyber risk frameworks to manage cloud and platform security risks, ensuring audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and effective vulnerability and control management. The role is supported by relevant qualifications and professional security certifications.
Delivers outcomes through strong integrity, accountability, problem‑solving, communication, and technical expertise. Success relies on collaboration, influence, and disciplined planning to embed security risk management into platform operations and organisational outcomes.
