We are hiring a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality sheet metal products by interpreting engineering drawings, operating fabrication machinery, assembling components, and ensuring all work meets company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication schedules.
- Measure, mark out, cut, bend, roll, drill, punch, and assemble sheet metal components.
- Perform MIG and LASER welding (preferred).
- Grind, deburr, polish, and finish fabricated products.
- Assemble aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel components.
- Perform quality inspections using measuring equipment.
- Maintain accurate dimensions and tolerances.
- Identify material defects and report non-conformances.
- Complete production documentation and job records.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area using 5S principles.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of materials using lifting equipment where licensed.
- Work collaboratively with production, drafting, and powder coating departments.
- Meet daily production targets without compromising quality or safety.
The successful applicant must be able to:
- Lift up to 20–25 kg safely.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Bend, kneel, and work in confined areas when required.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and dust.
