About the Role
Located in Melbourne's CBD, Pastuso is one of Melbourne's leading South American restaurants, renowned for vibrant flavours, premium produce, exceptional beverages and warm hospitality. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Bartender to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.
This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional beverage service. You'll work alongside an experienced management team in a fast-paced, premium environment while continuing to develop your cocktail, wine and spirits knowledge.
As a Bartender at Pastuso, your day-to-day will involve:
- Preparing and serving cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages to a consistently high standard
- Providing knowledgeable beverage recommendations and engaging with guests at the bar
- Maintaining exceptional bar presentation, cleanliness and organisation
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, stock rotation and inventory management
- Building strong product knowledge across cocktails, wine, spirits and South American beverages
- Working closely with floor, kitchen and management teams to deliver seamless service
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a bartending role within a premium, high-volume restaurant, cocktail bar or hospitality venue
- Strong cocktail preparation and service skills
- Excellent communication and guest engagement abilities
- WSET Level 2 or WSET Level 3 highly regarded
- Strong interest in wine, spirits and beverage education
- Ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods
- Availability to work full-time, primarily Saturday to Wednesday, with flexibility as required
- Full working rights in Australia - i.e. Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents or NZ Citizens only
