We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Associate Director of IT to lead the delivery of contemporary IT services and solutions. You will provide both strategic leadership and operational oversight of the School’s IT function, guiding the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of infrastructure, systems, and support services.
You will play a key role in shaping technology practices, aligning IT with organisational priorities, and driving continuous improvement, innovation, and service excellence across the function.
- Providing leadership and managing the IT team, fostering a positive, high-performing culture
- Partner with stakeholders across the School to understand needs and deliver practical, effective technology solutions
- Managing IT budgets, contracts, and assets, while ensuring strong governance, risk management, and compliance
- Leading the development and delivery of IT strategy, projects, and initiatives to support the School’s educational and business objectives
- Overseeing IT operations, including systems, infrastructure, service delivery, and continuous improvement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a nuanced understanding of organisational dynamics and stakeholder needs
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategically while maintaining effective operational oversight
- Proven leadership experience in a style that is customer-centric, collaborative, and technology-neutral, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in a senior IT or IT management role within a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to build trust through integrity, discretion, and sound judgement, supported by a strong commitment to confidentiality and effective governance
- Prior experience in an education environment will be advantageous
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge across the modern workplace ecosystem, including Microsoft 365 and Teams collaboration
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities
