Landscape at Architectus
Architectus Landscape is one of Australia’s newest landscape design studios, combining deep local and international expertise with a passionate team to create meaningful, lasting impact. We take a highly contextual approach to every project - grounded in Country, shaped by client needs and driven by a clear brief - creating a distinct sense of place across all scales and details. With studios in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, we’re a growing national team partnering across the Architectus network and with external collaborators to deliver projects from the earliest stages.
About the Role
As our Associate Landscape Architect, you’ll lead and contribute to the delivery of complex projects across public and private sectors, shaping outcomes from concept through to construction.
You’ll play a key role in project leadership, design quality and team growth, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and contributing to projects across all stages
- Delivering high-quality documentation, presentations and design outcomes
- Applying strong technical knowledge of materials, construction and standards
- Collaborating with internal teams and external consultants
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to studio culture
- Building client relationships and confidently presenting design solutions
- Supporting bids, proposals and new business opportunities
About you
We’re looking for a confident and collaborative Associate Landscape Architect with strong design and technical capability.
You will bring:
- A degree in Landscape Architecture with significant industry experience (AILA registration beneficial)
- Proven experience delivering projects across multiple stages, including complex work
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction, detailing and Australian Standards
- High-level design, documentation and communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability
- Experience mentoring team members and contributing to positive team culture
- Ability to manage resources, coordinate teams and support successful project outcomes
- Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite (essential), with other 3D and visualisation tools highly regarded
