Croydon North Kinder is a community-run kindergarten operated by a volunteer Committee of Management with the support of our highly skilled and dedicated staff. The kinder offers two sessional four-year-old kinder groups and a sessional three-year-old kinder group. Our aim is to provide meaningful play, which is active, engaging, open-ended and creative. Through both intentional teaching, the scaffolding of children’s interests and self-directed investigations, we endeavour to support children’s learning and encourage them to extend themselves and their understandings. Croydon North Kindergarten is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator for both of our 4-year-old groups. This role is a part time maternity leave position, commencing in term 3 2026 (date to be confirmed) The successful candidate will ideally be a Diploma trained Educator however a Certificate III trained Educator will be considered. The role is for 28.5 hours per week made up of 22 hours contact and 6.5 hours non-contact. Monthly team meetings and attendance at service events is required, with opportunities for relief and SRF planning also available. The successful applicant will work Monday 7.30am – 2.45pm Tuesday 11am - 4.30pm Wednesday 7.30am – 1.30pm Thursday 11am – 5pm Friday 11.45am - 3.30pm
· Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or Certificate III) · WWCC & Police Check · National Child Safety Training & Victorian Mandatory Reporting · Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training · Food Safety Certificate would be beneficial
