About the Role
Help shape the future of People and Culture services through data, technology, and artificial intelligence. This 12-month opportunity will play a key role in the Workforce Service Centre implementation, a major transformation initiative that will modernise workforce service delivery across CALHN and Statewide Clinical Support Services, impacting approximately 19,000 employees. As the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for designing and delivering the technical foundations that support the future Workforce Service Centre, including data platforms, integrations, automation, reporting, and AI-enabled solutions. Working at the intersection of people, technology and innovation, you will influence how workforce services are delivered, accessed and experienced across the organisation.
Lead the technical design, architecture and delivery of services supporting the Workforce Service Centre
Design and implement scalable data and integration solutions across enterprise platforms including Azure and Snowflake
Develop automation, analytics and workforce intelligence capabilities using modern programming and data technologies
Drive the adoption of AI-enabled solutions that enhance service delivery, streamline processes and improve employee experiences
Provide technical leadership and advice to project teams, vendors and key stakeholders
Deliver innovative, secure and sustainable solutions that support long-term organisational transformation
About You
You are a strategic and innovative technology leader who enjoys solving complex problems and turning emerging technologies into practical business outcomes. You thrive in transformation environments, can confidently navigate both technical and stakeholder discussions, and are excited by the opportunity to shape the future of workforce services through data, automation and AI. Combining strong technical expertise with a collaborative approach, you can translate ambitious ideas into scalable, enterprise-ready solutions.
Demonstrated experience leading the design and delivery of complex technology, data, or digital transformation initiatives
Strong technical capability in analysis and programming technologies, including SQL and Python
Experience working with enterprise data and cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Streamlit, CoCo (Snowflake AI), Denodo, Azure, and Azure Data Factory
Expertise in analytics, reporting, and visualisation solutions
Passion for emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, and the ability to identify opportunities to apply them to real-world business challenges
Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams
Relevant qualifications in information technology, data science, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience leading complex technology, data, and digital transformation initiatives in a large organisation
