About the Role:
In this role, you will contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the school by providing administrative support to the Principal, Business Manager and broader school community. Working within established procedures and guidelines, you will exercise sound judgement in resolving routine matters and refer more complex issues to the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate as required.
As the first point of contact for many visitors, students, parents and staff, you will play a key role in ensuring the school provides a welcoming, responsive and professional service. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service in a busy school environment.
Responsibilities Include:
General Administration
Manage the Reception area to ensure it is welcoming, professional and operates efficiently.
Respond to telephone, email and counter enquiries from students, parents, staff and community members.
Complete Daymap rollover processes and manage daily SMS absentee notifications.
Update student attendance records and assist with the management of roll marking.
Maintain accurate records and undertake general administrative and data entry tasks.
Perform other duties consistent with the position as directed by the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate.
Executive Support
Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Manage and distribute phone messages.
Prepare and send correspondence to parents and caregivers.
Assist with arranging appointments, meetings and calendars for members of the Executive Team.
Support administrative functions associated with school operations and events.
Student Management
Enter attendance rolls for absent teachers when required.
Issue late passes and assist with the triage of students presenting to the sick bay.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student attendance, wellbeing and school procedures.
Maintain accurate records of parent and caregiver contacts within OneSchool.
Assist students, parents and staff with attendance and student management enquiries.
About You:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment.
High levels of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail.
The ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and school-based administrative systems (or the ability to quickly learn them).
The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
A positive, professional and team-oriented approach to work.
