JHR Truck Driver / Mulch Blower Operator

Mega Mulchers is Sydney’s leading soil, mulch and aggregate blowing company. We supply and install landscaping materials using specialised blower trucks on commercial construction sites, government projects, schools and large landscaping developments.
We’re looking for an experienced HR Truck Driver who isn’t afraid of hard work. This is not a “sit in the truck all day” driving job. You’ll be an important part of a small crew where everyone works together to get the job done safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating our specialised HR mulch blower truck.
- Driving to construction sites across Sydney and surrounding areas.
- Setting up and packing down blower hoses.
- Assisting with pumping and installation of soil, mulch, sand and aggregates.
- General labouring, including shovelling, wheelbarrowing and site clean-up.
- Daily pre-start inspections and basic vehicle maintenance.
- Keeping the truck and equipment clean, organised and well maintained.
- Working closely with the crew to complete jobs efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Current HR Truck Licence.
- Experience driving Road Ranger (non-synchromesh/manual constant mesh) gearboxes.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual work throughout the day.
- Comfortable working outdoors in dusty, muddy and dirty construction site environments.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to start early in the morning.
- Willing to work long hours when projects require it.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Takes initiative, works proactively and accepts responsibility for getting the job done.
- Able to work well as part of a small, hardworking team.
- Holds a current White Card, or is willing to obtain one before commencing employment.
- Holds a current Working With Children Check, or is willing to obtain one (we can assist with organising this if required).
Highly regarded:
- Construction industry experience.
- Forklift licence.
- Excavator ticket.
- Wheel Loader ticket.
- Other relevant plant or machinery tickets.
