About the role
We are seeking we a kind, patient, and empathetic Support Worker to provide assistance to a client with complex care needs based in
South Melbourne This role offers various shifts and the chance to deliver genuine support that enhances quality of life.
- 25 hours shifts per week with the potential to increase (Monday -Friday- 6am-9am – 3pm – 6pm & Sundays 10.30am.2.30pm)
- Provide community access: Provide community access, including driving the customer between South Melbourne and Brighton to attend their day program, as well as shopping, appointments and social activities.
- Provide personal care, including showering, grooming and dressing
- Follow individual support and risk management plans to ensure safe and respectful care
About you
- Compassionate, respectful, and committed to client-centred care
- Flexible and adaptable to support the clients' personal preferences, privacy, and independence
- Experience with complex and behaviours of concern
- Experience with complex behaviours, with a willingness to learn the customer’s communication style, routines and triggers. Behaviour Support training and guidance will be provided.
- Reliable, with a current driver’s license and comfortable driving
