DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER – SIL | FEMALE PREFERRED EVENING & SLEEPOVER SHIFTS

About the Role
Wellness Medic is looking for a reliable, caring and motivated Disability Support Worker to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team in Cranebrook.
We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about supporting people with disability to live independently, safely and with dignity.
The initial roster will be Wednesday and Thursday evening shifts, including sleepover shifts, with the potential for additional hours in the future.
The participant has expressed preferences regarding their support workers, which will be considered as part of the recruitment process alongside applicable equal opportunity and anti-discrimination requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing person-centred support in a SIL environment
- Supporting the participant with evening routines and daily living activities
- Supporting community access and social activities when required
- Assisting with meal preparation and household tasks
- Following individual support plans and organisational procedures
- Completing accurate progress notes and relevant documentation
- Supporting medication routines where appropriately trained and authorised
- Maintaining a safe, respectful and positive home environment
- Working collaboratively with the participant, family, management and other support workers
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Patient, respectful and compassionate
- Comfortable working evening and sleepover shifts
- Able to build positive professional relationships with participants
- Confident working independently as well as part of a team
- Willing to learn and follow support plans and procedures
- Available consistently on Wednesday and Thursday evenings
6 months to 1 year of disability support experience is preferred, but freshers and applicants who are new to the disability industry are welcome to apply. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to suitable candidates.

Essential Requirements

- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Relevant qualifications or willingness to obtain them
- Australian working rights

Pay: $34.00 – $40.00 per hour
