What you will do
As rostering officer, you will help coordinate staffing across the prison precinct.
You will balance forward planning with daily changes to support safe operations.
You will:
- prepare and publish accurate rosters up to six weeks ahead
- monitor staffing levels and respond to leave requests and absences
- maintain employee records and rostering data with confidentiality
- review timesheets, resolve anomalies and complete thorough quality checks
- provide practical advice on rostering matters and identify improvements to local processes.
Please note that the role requires coverage over a 7-day period - weekdays and weekends.
About you
A qualification in human resources, finance or business administration is highly desirable.
Experience in rostering, payroll or human resource services will be highly regarded.
You should also have:
- strong experience using rostering systems such as TimeTarget, Humanforce or Kronos
- advanced skills using Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
- sound knowledge of enterprise agreements and rostering principles
- excellent communication skills with a collaborative and resilient approach.
