Operations & Logistics co-ordinator – Full Time | Immediate Start
Location: Botany NSW 2020
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Availability: Includes occasional, brief after hours phone support.
$32 - $40 per hour pending experience
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Operations & Logistics Coordinator to join our small, dynamic team. Based at our Botany facility, this role combines office coordination with hands on warehouse logistics.
You will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth coordination of driver allocations, managing warehouse inventory, and physically preparing and packing sensitive, temperature controlled biological shipments to strict compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocate drivers jobs using our custom dispatch app
- Ensure all shipments meet airline and IATA compliance standards
- Assist drivers with accurate labelling and repacking shipments to meet lodgement cutoff times with the airlines
- Maintain stock control
- Perform daily warehouse and administrative duties
- Prepare International paperwork / boxes
- Prepare dangerous goods packaging and declarations
- Prepare temperature controlled Validated shipper boxes
- Assist with collections and/or deliveries of jobs as required (Company van provided)
- Communicate with customers as required
- Direct communication with Labcabs interstate bookings team
Essential Skills & Experience
To thrive in this role, you must be:
- Highly computer literate, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel & Outlook
- Extremely knowledgeable of Sydney suburbs (especially hospitals, universities, and airports) This is essential for successful driver job allocations
- Exceptional attention to detail and focus
- Strong communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and apply compliance requirements
- Self motivated and capable of working independently
- Valid car license
- Dangerous goods certification is highly desirable however training can be provided
- Previous experience in courier dispatch or logistics is highly preferred
